My heart before
Almighty God

Is all I have
Is all I am

Like a change of heart
Can take one by surprise

Like when love springs
All is different seen by the eyes

You made the kind of love
I woman feel for valorous man

The same way I come in prayer
You give me poetry

As You made the lion and the lamb
You are the Lion and the Lamb

But You also made all kinds of waters
By Your hand we steward the land

They show Your nature
All of them

When he says to me “you’re beautiful”
It’s an echo of a flute playing Your truth

And once again I’m wrapped in You
Like the glue of cocoon makes ready to fly

Like the harmony of many bees make sweet
Honey for us to drink with milk o’ plant in tea

A setting to meet
A place to be

A time to seek
Your presence complete

My heart before
Almighty God
